In 2021, I worked with director/writer James Lapine and editor Miky Wolf on the feature-length documentary, In the Company of Rose. They brought me on to create interstitial collage animations from archival material to enliven the single-subject interviews of Rose Styron. I also created the title cards and end credits. I developed a guiding aesthetic of textured paper, line art, paint strokes and splatters, and designed the collaged graphics and digital paintings accordingly. In the Company of Rose is a portrait of writer and human rights activist Rose Styron, who was married to author William Styron. It premiered at the DOC NYC film festival in November 2022 and was released theatrically and on streaming services June 2023.
